The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or “Clery Act” is a federal statute requiring colleges and universities to disclose campus crime and certain security policies on an annual basis. The crime statistics are compiled using reports made to campus security authorities. At Hudson County Community College, such authorities include: Campus Safety, deans, advisors to the student clubs and organizations and other campus officials. A copy of the crime statistics is filed with the U.S. Department of Education and is available at their web site: http://ope.ed.gov/security.
