College Closing

Please be advised that Hudson County Community College will close at 12:00 p.m. today, Monday, January 26, 2015 and remain closed through Tuesday, January 27, 2015, due to inclement weather. All day and evening classes have been canceled. The College anticipates to reopen on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, operating on a normal schedule.  The College will notify the community by 10 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 if there are any further announcements.
Registration will be extended to Friday, January 30, 2015.  Add/Drop period will be extended to Friday, February 6, 2015.

  • The HCCC - NJCU Dual Admission Program Saves Time and Money, and Makes It Easier to Earn Your Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees.

  • Here’s how simple it is to be enrolled as a HCCC and NJCU student!

    1. Complete the HCCC Application for Admission. The one-time $20.00 application fee will cover your application to HCCC and NJCU.
    2. Once you have received your HCCC Student ID number, send an email to Include the following information:
      • Your full name (first and last)
      • Your HCCC Student ID Student ID number.
      • Your HCCC major — Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Health Sciences, Management, or Mathematics.
    3. As a HCCC student, schedule an appointment to meet with a HCCC Advisor and NJCU Transfer Advisor to discuss the course and GPA requirements of your chosen major. This planning will help you avoid lost credits and wasted time.
    4. After you have 30 completed HCCC credits ... contact your NJCU Major Advisor and the NJCU Financial Aid Officer to plan your coursework at NJCU.
    5. Once you have earned your HCCC Associate degree, your official transfer will be sent to NJCU free of charge.
    6. You are now ready to begin taking classes at NJCU. After you have earned 90 credits, apply to NJCU for graduation clearance that will put your Bachelor’s degree in your hands!
