College Closing

Please be advised that Hudson County Community College will close at 12:00 p.m. today, Monday, January 26, 2015 and remain closed through Tuesday, January 27, 2015, due to inclement weather. All day and evening classes have been canceled. The College anticipates to reopen on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, operating on a normal schedule.  The College will notify the community by 10 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 if there are any further announcements.
 
Registration will be extended to Friday, January 30, 2015.  Add/Drop period will be extended to Friday, February 6, 2015.

  • Welcome to the HCCC Center for Academic & Student Success Career & Transfer Services

    A lot of questions can come up when you are attempting to make decisions about what you will do after you complete your education at Hudson County Community College. Our Career & Transfer Services counselors will help you to understand how your skills, interests, values and personality can impact and guide your career path. Through formal assessments, we’ll assist you in setting goals and developing a strategy for achieving them.

    Our advisors will also assist you in making informed decisions about transferring to a four-year college or university.

    In addition to our assessment and counseling services we offer:

    • The use of our computer lab where you may access NJ TRANSFER, research colleges and universities, take a career assessment inventory, work on a resume, and search for jobs or scholarship opportunities:
    • Workshops that will acquaint you with the career planning and transfer process as well as helping you strengthen interview skills, revise your resume and increase your professional marketability;
    • Networking opportunities with professionals and employers at Career Fairs, and four-year institutions at College Information Day, transfer student socials, mentoring programs, and tours to local colleges and universities.
    • Information on articulation.
