Welcome to the Center for Academic & Student Success Advisement & Counseling Services

Educational decisions are an important part of each student's planning responsibility. An important function of our program is to provide accurate information about academic programs and the selection of a college major. Students can comprehensively plan their academic program with Advising & Counseling in the Center for Academic & Student Success.  Advising is an ongoing process that assists students in selecting courses that will eventually enable them to realize their life and career goals through education. Related activities may include assessment of the students’ potential for success in given fields of study, and the students’ level of interest in those fields; the monitoring of the students’ progress in current courses; and the continuing communication between advisors and students. The role of advising in the registration process is of great significance. Students should make an appointment with an advisor before they select their courses.

We are located on the second floor of Building A (70 Sip Avenue) and on the first floor of the North Hudson Center.  We encourage all students at Hudson County Community College to stop by and visit our Center.  We would like to assist you in achieving your educational goals.
