Student Activities

Hudson County Community College recognizes that the college experience involves more than classroom instruction. With this in mind, the College provides a host of opportunities for students to engage in activities that allow them to fulfill
recreational and cultural needs and interests. It is the belief of the College that these experiences will contribute to the social and intellectual growth and development of students.

Through its programs and activities, the Student Activities Office supervises and coordinates clubs and organizations, initiates social events of mutual interest to students and faculty to improve their interrelationships, disseminates information through various publications (the student handbook, Tapestry, the student's literary magazine, Reflections, the college yearbook, and a monthly student newsletter), coordinates the sales of discounted tickets to area cultural (Broadway Shows, trips to the Amish Experience, museums, etc.) and sporting events (Nets, Yankees, Mets, Skiing Trips, etc.), conducts yearly Leadership Training and a Student Awards Ceremony for meritorious students, and helps coordinate the College's joint efforts in providing New Student Orientation to our incoming students each fall semester.

The Student Activities Office is located at 25 Journal Square, in Room 104, directly outside the Student Lounge.
