The Career and Transfer Services Center’s goal is to meet the career needs of HCCC students. All students should make it a priority to visit the CTS center during the first two months of school to get a better sense of how they can benefit from what CTS has to offer. CTS provides services and events that facilitate your professional development.
Mission Statement
- To assist students in understanding their professional strengths and areas of opportunity
- To develop a network to connect students with employers in the community
- To listen to the voice of the customers (i.e., students, alumni, and employers), and continue to revise and develop services based on their feedback and needs
- To provide services and resources to transition students into professionals, allowing them to leave HCCC feeling confident in their professional abilities

Services
Career and Transfer Services helps you gain insight into how your current skills, interests, values and personality type can impact and guide your career path. These services are enhanced with the use of various formal assessment tools that are available in the CTS office. Along with helping you set goals and develop a strategy for achieving them, CTS will help you strengthen interview skills through mock interviews, revise and tailor resumes and build personal professional development plans.
Events
CTS provides opportunities for you to network with professionals and employers at the Career Fair, as well as gain insight into what the world of professional work holds for you. Workshops provide an interactive environment where you learn strategies that will help you increase your marketability and develop skills that will help you grow as a professional.
