Hudson County Community College (HCCC) is collaborating with participating New Jersey community colleges and New Jersey City University (NJCU) to offer New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey (NPTNJ). The program provides an opportunity for people who have a BS, BA, or higher degree and who did not complete a traditional teacher preparation program, to become teachers.

Basic Eligibility Requirements
New Course Offering: ***NPTNJ - Introduction to Teaching 24-Hour Program***
The “New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey” Introduction to Teaching 24-Hour Pre-Service Program is for those individuals who are applying for a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) after October 30, 2009.
To register for this program, go to the Non-Credit Office at 162 Sip Avenue, Room C115, Jersey City, NJ 07306.
