Hudson County Community College (HCCC) is collaborating with participating New Jersey community colleges and New Jersey City University (NJCU) to offer New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey (NPTNJ). The program provides an opportunity for people who have a BS, BA, or higher degree and who did not complete a traditional teacher preparation program, to become teachers.

The New Pathways to Teaching in New Jersey Introduction to Teaching 24-Hour Pre-Service Program is for those individuals who are applying for a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) after October 30, 2009. For more information read the Intro to Teaching document on the left hand side of this web site.

HCCC holds periodic information sessions regarding the application process and admission to NPTNJ. If you are interested in learning more about NPTNJ after reading the overview, please plan to attend an information session:

Information Sessions are held at the Culinary Arts Institute/Conference Center, 161 Newkirk St., Jersey City, NJ 07306. You will be notified of the exact room number upon entry. Please pre-register by calling the Non-Credit Office at (201) 360-4246.
