  • A Program for Current High School Students to Earn College Credits

    High school students, you can start earning college credits now by participating in Hudson County Community College’s Project L.E.A.P. (Learning Enables All Possibilities).

    Project L.E.A.P. allows students to enroll in and take college-level courses while completing high school studies. Upon graduating from high school, credits for the HCCC classes may be applied towards a college degree.

    Hudson County Community College’s L.E.A.P. program is open to students who demonstrate the knowledge and ability to take and successfully complete college-level work. You must be a current rising junior and rising senior high school students (sophomores entering junior studies in their next term, and juniors entering senior studies in their next term) to participate in the L.E.A.P. program.

    You may begin taking HCCC classes now at our Journal Square and North Hudson Higher Education Center campuses! Here’s what you need to do to get started:
        • Submit an application — please click here to access the application form
          and Student Agreement.
        • Obtain the signatures required on the application form (yours and those of your
          Guidance Counselor and parent/guardian).
        • Submit the completed form to the L.E.A.P. Office via email (LEAP@hccc.edu)
          or postal mail (Hudson County Community College - L.E.A.P., 70 Sip Avenue,
          Jersey City, NJ 07306).
        • Our staff will contact you to schedule a day for taking the Accuplacer test and
          help you enroll in classes.
