College Closing

Please be advised that Hudson County Community College will close at 12:00 p.m. today, Monday, January 26, 2015 and remain closed through Tuesday, January 27, 2015, due to inclement weather. All day and evening classes have been canceled. The College anticipates to reopen on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, operating on a normal schedule.  The College will notify the community by 10 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 if there are any further announcements.
Registration will be extended to Friday, January 30, 2015.  Add/Drop period will be extended to Friday, February 6, 2015.

    Academic Level:
    This course teaches the oral communication skills students need in order to accomplish their college and career goals. All students address the class in talks designed to inform, persuade, and instruct. They also explore interviewing strategies; giving and using feedback; group discussion rules and roles, and the impact of culture, gender, and politics on communication. Students submit weekly logs chronicling their responses to readings and films as well as their own selected speaking/listening experience.
