HCCC Offers Liberal Arts and Business Administration Degree Programs and First Semester Courses for All Majors at the New Secaucus Center

Western Hudson County residents can now conveniently earn their Associate degrees or credits at the new, state-of-the-art Hudson County Community College Center.

June 18, 2019, Jersey City, NJ – Those Hudson County residents who live and work in Secaucus, Kearny, Harrison, and East Newark will only have to travel a few short miles to pursue their higher education dreams at Hudson County Community College (HCCC). In September, HCCC will begin offering weekday evening courses at Hudson County Community College's Secaucus Center at Hudson County Schools of Technology's Frank J. Gargiulo Campus.

The College will offer full degree programs in two popular and in-demand programs – Associate in Arts Liberal Arts (General) and Associate in Science Business Administration. In addition, students studying at the College’s Secaucus Center will be able to complete their required, first-semester coursework in all of the HCCC majors. An HCCC Student Success Coach is on site to assist prospective students with degree planning, financial aid and scholarship applications, and transfer/career planning.

In addition to its proximity to Hudson County's western municipalities, those attending classes at Hudson County Community College's Secaucus Center at Hudson County Schools of Technology's Frank J. Gargiulo Campus will be able to take advantage of an ample amount of free parking. The new, state-of-the-art facility is also conveniently located within one mile of the Frank Lautenberg Rail Station on County Road.

Hudson County Community College serves more than 16,000 full- and part-time students annually. The College offers more than 60 degree and certificate courses of study taught by caring, highly qualified faculty on campuses in Jersey City and Union City, NJ, at off-campus sites and online. The HCCC Culinary Arts/Hospitality Management program was ranked number six in the U.S. by Best Choice Schools. Over 94% of HCCC Nursing program graduates passed the NCLEX first time out, placing the program's graduates in the top tier of two- and four-year nursing programs nationwide. In 2017, the Equality of Opportunity Project ranked HCCC in the top 5% of 2,200 U.S. higher education institutions for social mobility.

Thanks to the College’s comprehensive financial aid programs and services, approximately 83% of HCCC students receive financial assistance. HCCC has partnerships with every major four-year College and university in the greater New Jersey-New York area, and many other institutions, so transferring for further undergraduate and graduate education is seamless.
