    Hudson County Community College New ‘Solo’ Art Exhibition Series on View through December 15

    October 11, 2019, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Department of Cultural Affairs is celebrating the work of mid-career artists in its new “Solo” exhibition series.

    The series begins with an exhibition curated by Department of Cultural Affairs Director Michelle Vitale that showcases the work of Maplewood-based artist Roberta Melzl. The community is invited to view this first installment of the series, which is on display through December 15, 2019 in the Atrium of the College’s Dineen Hull Gallery, located in the Gabert Library at 71 Sip Avenue – Sixth Floor, in Jersey City. There is no charge for admission.

    Roberta Melzl earned her Master of Fine Arts degree at Mason Gross School of the Arts from Rutgers University, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and Studio Art from New York University. Her art is characterized by the incorporation of various systems of visual representations, embracing elements of technology, architecture, nature, design, and media.

    The HCCC Department of Cultural Affairs welcomes Hudson County community members, organizations, businesses, and school groups to enjoy special programs at the College. Groups of 6 to 30 visitors are invited to a FREE 45-minute tour of the current fall exhibition in the Dineen Hull Gallery. Tours may be scheduled by contacting Director Michelle Vitale at mvitale@hccc.com or 201-360-4182.

    The HCCC Dineen Hull Gallery is open Mondays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Additional information on offerings is available at www.hccc.edu/cultural -affairs.
