Hudson County Community College Center for Business & Industry Hosting Job Fair on June 18th

Interested employers are invited to participate; job seekers may also take part in
workshops aimed at boosting employment possibilities.

June 10, 2014, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Center for Business & Industry (CBI), in partnership with Jersey City Employment and Training Program, Hudson County/State of New Jersey One-Stop Career Center, and Jobs4Jersey.com, will host a job fair on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 10: 00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will be held at the HCCC Culinary Arts Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City, NJ – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Station. All members of the community are welcome to attend.

Ana Chapman-McCausland, CBI Executive Director, expects about 30 employers to participate. “At past job fairs we have had a good number of candidates with the education and training employers want for their companies. Jobseekers include county residents as well as HCCC students and graduates,” she said. A table and refreshments for two, plus access to a private lounge with wireless Internet access, will be included for all registered hiring employers.

Among the employers who will be present are Carlo’s Bakery, Micros Retail Systems, Inc., Planned Companies, Metro Public Adjustment, Inc., Community Coach, Coach USA, Megabus.com, Singularity, LLC, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Preferred Healthcare, Harvest Restaurant Group, and Loving Care Agency.

Those individuals who are seeking employment will be able to meet with employers, and also to apply for jobs online. Those who attend may also participate in information sessions on resumé writing, interviewing skills, targeted job searches, and enhancing workplace skills.
