connections to help map one’s higher education and professional
goals, free tours, and waived application fees.
Hudson County Community College will hold
an Open House on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with
check-in beginning at 9:30 a.m. The event will be held at the
College’s Culinary Conference Center – 161 Newkirk St. in Jersey
City, NJ – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH
Transportation Center. Attendees will be able to experience the
Hudson County Community College campus culture and meet with the
educators, students, and administrators.
Activities are planned to help acquaint
prospective students with the College’s two campuses, academic
programs, and the services and programs available to HCCC students.
The April 28 Open House attendees will be able to obtain information
on the College’s degree and certificate programs, including the
acclaimed STEM, Nursing, Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management,
Criminal Justice, Business, and other course offerings. Attendees
may also tour the Journal Square Campus.
Additionally, representatives from the
College’s award-winning student support services team will provide
information on how the team assists HCCC students in reaching their
academic and career goals.
HCCC students pay a fraction of the cost
of tuition at a four-year college or university, and the college has
one of the most successful financial aid and scholarship programs in
New Jersey, with about 83% of HCCC students receiving assistance.
Open House attendees will learn about the application and acceptance
processes, and members of the Financial Aid department will assist in
setting up FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) accounts.
As a bonus, the $25 application fee will be waived for prospective
students who attend the Open House and apply to HCCC that day.
