College Closing

Please be advised that Hudson County Community College will close at 12:00 p.m. today, Monday, January 26, 2015 and remain closed through Tuesday, January 27, 2015, due to inclement weather. All day and evening classes have been canceled. The College anticipates to reopen on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, operating on a normal schedule.  The College will notify the community by 10 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 if there are any further announcements.
Registration will be extended to Friday, January 30, 2015.  Add/Drop period will be extended to Friday, February 6, 2015.

    Hudson County Community College is an urban institution. Our Journal Square campus, North Hudson Higher Education Center, and all of our satellites, are easily accessed via Hudson County's main streets and public transportation.

    Directions to Journal Square Campus in Jersey City, NJ.

    Via Car: New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 15E. At toll booths, bear right on to ramp and follow sign which reads, "Truck Route 1&9 North, Jersey City." Proceed over two bridges toward the intersection of Route 440. Bear left past the second bridge, take 1&9 North, proceed to second right onto Sip Avenue. Continue on Sip Avenue up the hill to the Journal Square section of Jersey City. The Administrative Building is located between Bergen & Summit Aves.

    Via PATH: Take JSQ/33rd St. or WTC/Newark trains to Journal Square stop. Welcome Center is directly across from the escalator.

    Via New Jersey Transit Buses to Journal Square Transit Center: 82, 83, 84, 86, 87, and 88.

    Directions to North Hudson Higher Education Center in Union City, NJ.

    Via Car from Jersey City: Kennedy Blvd. north to 49th Street.

    Via Light Rail: West Side-Tonnelle Ave. train to Bergenline Ave. (at 49th Street).

    Via New Jersey Transit Buses to Bergenline Ave. Transit Center: 22, 22X, 84, 86, 89, 156, 181, 88, 154.

    The College does not have student parking lots. However, there are several lots in and around our campuses that offer discounted rates.

    Journal Square –  
    Welcome Parking - 20 Jones Street & Enos Place; and 88 Sip Avenue. 
    Bergen Avenue Parking - 871 Bergen Avenue. 
    Impark-Square Ramp - 801 Pavonia Avenue (behind the Loews Theatre). 
    Impark - 130 Sip Avenue (across from the Culinary Arts Conference Center).

    North Hudson Higher Education Center -

    There is ample parking at the following satellite campuses: Bayonne, Jose Marti Academy, Kearny and Secaucus.
