Jed Palmer has been teaching English to speakers of other languages in the New York/New Jersey area for more than 10 years. From 2015 through 2021, he served first as a full-time faculty member and then as a Lecturer in HCCC’s ESL department. He also performed a variety of administrative tasks for the program, including program assessment, staffing, and faculty training.

In 2022, he became the Director of ESL and Academic Foundations English. Recently, he has focused on projects related to the Title V grant-funded La Puerta Dorada initiative, including a redesign of the ESL program’s introductory and beginning levels and the launching of the ESL Resource Center on both the North Hudson and the Journal Square campuses.
