The mission of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is to promote an institutional climate that embraces and celebrates differences while championing equitable and inclusive practices, policies, and procedures in all College activities. The Office leads and supports practices that foster safe, inclusive, and accessible facilities and activities for all community members.

Cultural Affairs Image
Each semester HCCC’s Department of Cultural Affairs offers free, educational opportunities for community members, students, faculty, and administration to engage in art exhibitions, lectures, and events that strengthen our learning neighborhood and collective identity.
Accessibility Services
Accessibility Services provides access to educational opportunities for students with documented needs. The office coordinates reasonable accommodations and services to provide students with access to HCCC’s programs, activities, and services.
Welcoming and Inclusive Campus EnvironmentAs outlined in its Policy on Sexual Harassment and Title IX, the College is committed to creating and sustaining a welcoming and inclusive working and learning environment that is free from sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination for students, faculty, staff, campus visitors, and all members of the College community.
The Hudson County Community College (HCCC) President’s Advisory Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (PACDEI) provide leadership, support, and counsel in fostering a welcoming, diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that embraces our shared values among all HCCC constituencies.


Access to quality education is the key to enlightenment and upward mobility. The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion partners with campus-wide departments and stakeholders who stand firm in embedding diverse voices, supporting equitable policies, and creating inclusive and safe spaces. 
Ours is not the struggle of one day, one week, or one year. Ours is not the struggle of one judicial appointment or presidential term. Ours is the struggle of a lifetime, or maybe even many lifetimes, and each one of us in every generation must do our part.
