    • Student Activities

Run for Student Government - Join or start a student-run club - Get inducted into an honor society - Hop on the PATH train with a fellow student to see a Broadway show - Discover and explore a new museum or landmark in the region - Participate in a community service project - Meet new people and learn about new cultures and experiences - Expand your skills and resume.

The key to a fulfilling and successful collegiate experience is rooted in leadership and involvement! Let us help you leave your legacy and prepare for your next step.

Hudson County Community College recognizes that classroom instruction is vital to your professional and career development. We also know extra and co-curricular activities, and the relationships formed while connecting to the college, are just as important to expanding your experiences and preparing you for your life after HCCC.

The Office of Student Life & Leadership, a unit under the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment, is here to help you make meaningful and rewarding connections through campus life and involvement. Our office provides programs and experiences which promote educational, cultural, leadership, social and personal growth. In addition to this, we serve as the home of the Student Government Association and all clubs and organizations.

Joining a club or organization gives you the opportunity to meet new people, develop your leadership skills, and make your resume stand out! These groups represent the interests of our student body, and all are organized and run by students. All organizations fall under the Office of Student Life and Leadership and the Student Government Association.

Want to get Involved? Visit Involved (, our online engagement platform and the home to all involvement opportunities and event notifications! Join clubs, find events, and have your involvement tracked during your time as a student.

      How can you get involved?

The Office of Student Life & Leadership also offers several exciting events each semester that allow students to interact, unwind, and take advantage of the NYC/metropolitan area at a discounted rate, often allowing the opportunity to share the experience with a loved one. We serve as a hub of community service experiences, providing opportunities and transportation for students. Our office also oversees New Student Orientation and events related to graduation and Commencement.

Stay in the know by visiting Involved (Here is the Student Life & Leadership Involved page!), checking out the Student Life Guide, follow our Instagram and Facebook pages, read the Student Life Weekly (sent to your email every Monday), and various places around campus.
