InterExitFace

Jeremiah Teipen: InterExitFace

Opens September 9, 2021

Dineen Hull Gallery

Situated between the physical and the virtual, between natural and artificial, and between traditional and new media, Jeremiah Teipen’s work simultaneously synthesizes and transcends these dichotomies, proving them somewhat false. In the exhibition, InterExitFace, Teipen’s work explores mediated realities where the virtual sphere meets physical space, and the intermingling and overlap of the two. Exploring our current condition of split sensoria as we exist in physical and virtual space concurrently, Teipen studies the result of this state, our forever altered perception.

Laurie Riccadonna: Eternal Bloom

Laurie Riccadonna: Eternal Bloom

Continues September 9, 2021

Dineen Hull Gallery

Laurie Riccadonna’s Eternal Bloom will continue through December. A graduate from Yale University School of Art, Riccadonna is the recipient of the 2020 Association of Community College Trustees Northeast Region Faculty Award. The exhibition consists of paintings and works on paper selected from several of Riccadonna’s series: Garden series, Hanging Garden series, Puzzle series, Tile series, and Plastic Pollution series. Riccadonna’s Plastic Pollution series is a response to the litter contaminating our streets and sidewalks, “a visual comment on the consequences of society’s rampant consumerism and its addiction to plastic.” For this series, Riccadonna drew from still lifes while augmenting the works from her imagination.
