Introduction to Windows and Personal Computers

 

About This Class

This class is for users who are new to personal computers (PC) and are seeking to gain a basic understanding of the PC components and operations in the Microsoft Windows environment including proper start-up and shut-down of Windows operating system, running application programs, managing and organizing files and folders and printing.

Preparation 

  • Pre and post assessment for all classes and students taking part in this program. 
  • Assessment scores from the TABE, Best Literacy, Customer Service Inventory and the NJCCC PC Skills assessment instruments will be compiled. 
  • Understand, read and write English language 
  • Have basic computer knowledge  
  • Basic knowledge of video conference platforms 
  • Internet connection 
  • Laptop, Personal Computer, notebook
