About This Class
Introduction to Word
This class will introduce participants to the basic operations in Microsoft Word.
Intermediate Word
Build on the foundations learned in Introduction to Word to perform more advanced
operations.

Upon completion of the training, students/participants will be able to:
Introduction
- Create documents
- Select text and applying advanced text effects
- Format documents and paragraphs within documents
- Use Page Setup, Layout, and Views
- Print Preview and Print documents
Intermediate
- Manage Documents
- Use Formatting Tools such as Templates, Bullets, and Numbering
- Create Headers and Footers
- Use Time Saving Tools such Language, Research, and Smart Tags
- Use Mail Merge to create mailing labels, certificates and letters
Preparation
- Must be able to speak and understand English <link TBD>
- Pre and post assessment for all classes and students taking part in this program.
- Assessment scores from the TABE, Best Literacy, Customer Service Inventory and the
NJCCC PC Skills assessment instruments will be compiled.
- Understand, read and write English language
- Have basic computer knowledge
- Basic knowledge of video conference platforms
