Hudson County Community College (HCCC) students and alumni have seen the effects of HCCC’s commitment to student success firsthand while the College’s transformative efforts continue to garner national acclaim.

Whether it’s the increasing success of students and formation of new academic and career pathways, the professional development opportunities that employees and staff are pursuing, or simply the inclusive and welcoming environment everywhere on campus, Hudson County Community College (HCCC) President Dr. Christopher Reber’s impact on the College is clear and pervasive.

Whether it’s building a hydroponic mushroom farm for the culinary program, developing novel innovations like biodegradable golf tees made from pistachio nuts, or building model rockets used in national competition, HCCC Engineering Science Professor Dr. Clive Li consistently finds new ways to make scientific innovation both fun and accessible for Hudson County Community College (HCCC) STEM students.

Under the leadership of Matthew LaBrake, Executive Director of Hudson County Community College’s (HCCC) Center for Online Learning, the College’s online learning offerings are growing rapidly.

The Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Board of Trustees has awarded tenure to four faculty members. Heather Connors, Karen Hosick, Laura Samuelsen, and Carrie Rong Xiao have earned tenure in recognition of their excellence in teaching, scholarly achievement, service to the College and the community, and fulfillment of their professional responsibilities.

Hudson County Community College President Dr. Christopher Reber is proud to join the University of Michigan’s Diversity Scholars Network (DSN), an interdisciplinary, multi-institutional community of scholars hosted by the National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) at the University of Michigan.

HCCC Associate Professor and Coordinator of Business Programs Elana Winslow has been awarded Dale P. Parnell Faculty Distinction Recognition by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

Hudson County Community College’s (HCCC) School of Business, Culinary Arts, and Hospitality Management has received Insight Into Diversity Magazine’s 2024 “Inspiring Programs in Business” Award. The prestigious national award honors business schools that demonstrate outstanding commitment to encouraging and assisting students from traditionally underrepresented groups to enter the field of business.

Recently, Hudson County Community College’s (HCCC) innovative and transformative Hudson Scholars program was presented the prestigious Bellwether Legacy Award for impacting student success in retention and college completion, particularly for those from traditionally underserved groups.
