Project Management Certificate

Project Management Certificate

Hudson County Community College’s Office of Continuing Education is proud to offer a live, fully online Project Management Certificate Program. The certificate program promises participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of various principles and processes involved in managing a project of any size in any industry effectively. Project management training is a highly desirable skill to have as an employee. Increasingly, employers are screening candidates for either the PMP credential or training before they are hired for project management jobs. Globally recognized and demanded, project management training demonstrates that you have the experience, education, and competency to lead and direct projects.

Project managers are a pivotal part of any organization and can be part of almost any industry. As change agents, project managers are responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed efficiently with maximum quality and value added to the business. They set goals, identify measures of success, and encourage team members to collectively accomplish tasks within an organization. They often work with upper management to understand the overall strategy of specific projects, and to determine the tasks and timeline of completion.

At the conclusion of the Project Management Certificate program, students will be provided with a certificate of completion and a digital credential from the college that shows you have gained the essential skills to be a project manager. Note that this program is not a crash course intended to prepare students with tips and tricks for the PMP exam. It is a fully comprehensive, stand-alone certificate program designed to provide students with full training in proven strategies and practical, hands-on tools to drive successful project outcomes. This certificate also counts towards 36 hours of the educational requirements that are necessary to sit for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® or the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® certification exam, should students choose to pursue accreditation.
