Dr. Bendaoud joined HCCC as an Adjunct Faculty in 2006 and became an Associate Professor in 2008. He served as Interim Associate Dean of the College’s School of STEM from 2018 to 2019, reviewing School of STEM materials for bi-annual Open House events, organizing information sessions about academic programs for prospective STEM students, and more. Professor Bendaoud’s academic contributions include evaluating the Hybrid Microbiology course, creating a fully online Anatomy and Physiology II course, and developing the Cell Biology course for the Biotechnology program. He has participated on various committees, including Search Committees for instructors, Development and Planning, Curriculum and Instruction, Faculty Enrichment in Life Science, and Academic Affairs Council.

Dr. Bendaoud served as advisor for the HCCC Biology Club and the HCCC Muslim Student Association, and was a mentor for the Leadership Education Growth Opportunity (LEGO) Program.

Dr. Bendaoud speaks Arabic, English, and French. He was previously an instructor at City University of New York (CUNY), College of Staten Island, Drake College, and Eastern International College.
