Biography

Mackenzie is a Hudson Scholars Academic Counselor, helping students to transition to HCCC and to form their identity as a student. In her regular meetings with students, she talks about major exploration, the transfer process, and registration while helping define their goals. Mackenzie builds relationships with students and shares stories about accomplishments and obstacles, all while setting up a path to success at the college and beyond.

Mackenzie joined HCCC in August 2021 as one of the founding Hudson Scholars Academic Counselors. Previously, she was an Academic Success Coach at Merrimack College, specializing in working with students on academic probation. While at HCCC, Mackenzie has presented at the First Year Experience Conference and the Community College Futures Assembly, where she was part of the team that won the 2023 Bellwether Award for Instructional Programs and Services.
