MSCHE Self-Study 2028

Greetings, HCCC Community,

Every eight years, HCCC reaffirms its accreditation with its institutional accreditor, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Through the three-year Self-Study Process, HCCC also reaffirms its commitment to its mission of providing its diverse communities with inclusive, high-quality educational programs and services that promote student success and upward social and economic mobility. Self-Study is a period of reflection and evaluation of how well the institution is meeting MSCHE’s Standards, and accreditation from MSCHE indicates that HCCC is delivering high-quality programs and services to its students.

Engagement from the whole HCCC community is vital to a successful Self-Study Process. Over 100 members of the College community are leading or participating on Standard Working Groups, and many more members of the College community will be engaged as we move through the three-year process.

There will be opportunities to ask questions at various HCCC meetings (e.g., Town Hall and All College Council General Meetings), to participate in open fora with HCCC’s MSCHE Vice President Staff Liaison and Evaluation Team Chair, and to review drafts of the Self-Study. We hope students, faculty, staff, trustees, and community members will take every opportunity to engage in this process.
