Biography
Carlos works as an Academic Counselor for the Hudson Scholars Program at HCCC. He helps first-time students set goals, stay on track, and make the most of college. Carlos meets with students regularly to offer guidance, support, and encouragement. He also connects them with campus resources and keeps them engaged through workshops and events.
Carlos is a first-generation college graduate with over a decade of experience in education and student support. Before joining HCCC as an Academic Counselor for the Hudson Scholars Program, he worked as a teacher, Assistant Principal, and Operations Manager in charter schools across NYC and NJ. He's passionate about helping students succeed, especially those from underserved backgrounds, and brings a mix of academic advising and real-world leadership to his work. Carlos holds a Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree from John Jay College.
