Carlos supports students in setting goals, building study skills, and planning courses. He connects students with resources and tracks progress to ensure academic success.

Carlos has over 30 years of experience in higher education public safety, serving in key administrative roles before transitioning into a student success position. A recognized leader in the field, Carlos has delivered national presentations on crisis intervention teams in higher education and completed advanced leadership education through the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP). Throughout his career, Carlos received numerous awards for excellence in community engagement, leadership, and investigative work, reflecting a deep commitment to campus safety and student well-being. Carlos describes his role as an Academic Counselor as deeply fulfilling and the epitome of servant leadership, allowing him to directly impact students’ lives and support their success.
