Joyce is a coordinator for the School of Continuing Education and Workforce Development in the Center for Business and Industry. In her role, she interfaces with external clients, partners, students, and instructors, ensuring seamless coordination for class scheduling and staffing. Her passion lies in supporting the School's workforce development initiatives by creating and managing tailored training programs and aligning educational offerings with the specific business needs of clients and partners.

Joyce Alvarez is the daughter of an Ecuadorian immigrant mother and a first-generation graduate from Rutgers University. Joyce is an active member of Toastmasters, honing her communication and leadership skills, and also participates in the Association of Latino Professionals For America, contributing to her professional growth and community engagement. She is passionate about her community and is currently seeking different ways to volunteer in immigration services.
