Besides being an avid reader, Lisa spends as much time as possible sailing during the summer months. She is also very interested in history, politics, and technology, especially as AI apps and their usage continue to grow and change. As a Music minor at Skidmore, Lisa wrote her Senior Honors Thesis on "The Role of Black Women in Blues"

Biography

Lisa is a librarian and the director of the North Hudson Campus Library. She helps students learn how to effectively use library resources for research purposes.

As a librarian, Lisa works with students, staff and faculty teaching about the importance of research skills and resources. She regularly speaks on campus about plagiarism (how to avoid it), and APA and MLA academic guidelines and formatting. She is also actively engaged with a number of campus-wide committees. In May, 2023, Lisa was recognized with a NISOD Excellence Award. Lisa formerly worked in advertising, marketing and public relations roles for a number of years. A volunteer for her own alma mater since graduation, Lisa is an advocate for the power of education to change lives.
