Biography
An HCCC alumna, Dr. Hedhli began teaching at the College in 2006. She has been active
in projects in and out of the classroom, including organizing and presenting the “Nursing
Entrance Exam Review Workshops,” assisting with HCCC Biology Club events, hosting
information sessions on Environmental Studies, making a presentation on genetically
modified food at West New York P.S. 1, and organizing and presenting summer events
on environmental studies for Jersey City high school students.
Dr. Hedhli served as a Research Teaching Assistant at University of Medicine and Dentistry
of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and a Teaching Assistant at Rutgers University. She was a Post-Doctoral
Fellow in Cardiovascular Research at UMDNJ and Yale University, and a Post-Doctoral
Associate in Lymphoma Research at Weill Cornell Medical School. Dr. Hedhli has written
and published dozens of articles for professional publications and made several presentations
at scientific events, recounting her research and findings in the United States and
Europe. She is the recipient of the 2014 National Institute for Staff and Organizational
Development (NISOD) Excellence in Teaching Award.
