Biography

Richard Morris III teaches physics and astronomy labs and lectures.

Richard is a physics and astronomy educator with over thirteen years of teaching experience at both the college and high school levels. He has taught courses in physics, astronomy, chemistry, and engineering, with a focus on helping students understand complex concepts through hands-on learning and real-world examples. Richard has developed and redesigned course materials, labs, and online learning environments to make science more engaging and accessible for all students.  He has served as a faculty mentor for NASA’s Community College Aerospace Scholars program and has guided numerous student research projects and science competitions. His professional background also includes work in curriculum development, technology integration, and student mentoring in STEM fields. Richard holds degrees in Physics, Astrophysics, Mathematics, and East Asian Studies, as well as a master’s degree in Physics. He continues to promote active learning, inclusion, and scientific curiosity in every classroom he teaches.
