Biography

Abby is a Career and Transfer specialist at the office of Career and Transfer Pathways. Assisting students enrolled in CTE-Career & Technical Education program majors within Humanities and Social Sciences. Abby also counsels and coaches students on career exploration, career readiness, transfer resources and support.

Abby is a native of Brooklyn, and started her education journey at the Borough of Manhattan Community college -BMCC in New York City. Abby Landed her first Internship opportunity with Target, in the company's Executive Leadership Management Program, through the Brooklyn College- Magner Center (Career Services). She went on to complete two summer internships with Target. She was also the Campus Liaison and an on-campus Student Recruiter for Target. Abby graduated with a B.S. in Business Management & Finance from Brooklyn College. She went on to work for Target full-time as an assistant store manager, leading large and small teams. Throughout Abby’s retail career she trained and launched several Target stores within New York City, in her 12+ years with the company. Abby then was relocated to New Jersey to work as an Operations Manager for Amazon. She also trained and lead Inclusive Leadership programing ensuring all supervisors were trained on leading diverse populations. Throughout Abby’s career she stayed connected with her mentor and the Career Services team at Brooklyn College, as an Alumni panelist and partner, because the Career Center sparked her passion for Personal and Professional development.
