Imane Zehaf

Imane works in Career Services as a CTE Career Coach. Imane counsels and coaches students with CTE majors on career exploration, career readiness and career management needs via individual sessions, classroom visits, workshops and virtual services both remotely and in person. Imane Identifies and develops business relationships for events, recruitment opportunities and job placement. Imane partners with academic divisions to identify career paths that support students’ majors and interests and create opportunities such as custom events, jobs, internships, and volunteer roles.

Imane immigrated with her husband to Jersey City, NJ from Casablanca, Morocco in 2000 and started ESL classes at HCCC in 2001. Imane has over 15 years of experience in Higher Education. She worked at the Finacial Aid Department as a Federal Work-Study and Student Assistant. She also worked at NJIT as a Customer Service Specialist and Administrative Assistant for eight years in Financial Aid Services. She came back to HCCC in 2021 and worked at CEWD as a Financial Counselor before moving to Career Services in March 2022 to start working as a CTE Career Coach. At the end of 2023, Imane will reach her 10-year work anniversary at HCCC. Imane has been a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society since 2004, and she was on the dean's list at HCCC in 2005 and at NJCU in 2015.
