My time at HCCC prepared me well for many of my future endeavors. After graduation,
I obtained my bachelor's degree in criminal justice from New Jersey City University.
I was then accepted into New York Law School, where I obtained my J.D. degree. I will
never forget my roots at HCCC and all the faculty members who helped shape who I am
today.

"I learned so much at HCCC and enjoyed every moment there. I majored in Criminal Justice and was fortunate enough to work with and learn from many faculty members. The professors are amazing and really demonstrate an unparalleled dedication to all of their students. They truly want every single one of their students to succeed and thrive, and they do just that."
What influenced your decision to attend community college?
I was the first one in my family to attend college. So, jumping right into a four
(4) year university seemed daunting. HCCC came to my high school and explained the
benefits of attending a community college. They made the whole process seem easy and
offered guidance and assistance the whole way through.
How would you describe the quality of education you received?
I received the best quality education. The experience the professors had rivaled that of professors at universities. Plus, their demeanor and attitude were always welcoming. I felt very prepared when I started at NJCU after graduating from HCCC. (f) All of Cathie P. Seidman's classes had an impact on me. She is a fantastic professor. Her classes were a driving force in my decision to attend law school after graduating from college. She was always so supportive.
Would you recommend a community college to others? Why or why not?
I wholeheartedly recommend community college to everyone - specifically, HCCC. Community college is a great asset that not many people utilize. Attending any community college will only further set people up for success.
