50 Faces of Alumni
"HCCC stood out to me for its excellent program offerings and solid infrastructure, which provided the right foundation for my academic and professional journey."

What made HCCC the right choice for you?

At the time, the College’s proximity to my residence and the strong faculty were key factors. HCCC stood out to me for its excellent program offerings and solid infrastructure, which provided the right foundation for my academic and professional journey.

Tell us about your educational journey after HCCC and getting into venture capital.

After HCCC, I initially transferred to Montclair State University. However, I was soon accepted into NYU, where I had the flexibility to craft a multidisciplinary curriculum tailored to my needs. This allowed me to take courses across various schools, including Wharton, to acquire the tools necessary to manage a highly complex technology consulting business.

What advice would you give current HCCC students who aspire to work in venture capital?

First and foremost, find a mentor—someone whose success inspires you—and then study how to master your craft. For me, Ray Dalio has been a key influence, especially his "5-Step Process" for achieving goals.
