Hudson County Community College Culinary Arts Institute to Host ‘Food Business Career Fair’

Celebrity chefs will conduct live cooking demonstrations; prospective students can learn about the HCCC Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management programs.

 

February 20, 2020, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County Community College (HCCC) Culinary Arts Institute (CAI) alumni chefs Jesse Jones, “Chopped” winner Claude Lewis, and Chef Puk will conduct live demos at the CAI “Food Business Career Fair.” The event will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the HCCC Culinary Conference Center, 161 Newkirk Street in Jersey City – just two blocks from the Journal Square PATH Transportation Center.

The event will provide prospective students with an opportunity to learn about the College’s award-winning Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management degree and certificate programs. Attendees will also be able to meet one-on-one with the chefs/professors, speak with Admissions and Financial Aid counselors, and view ice-carving demonstrations.

Those in attendance will also be able to meet three renowned HCCC CAI alumni who will be conducting cooking demonstrations in the HCCC CAI kitchens. The chefs include: TV personality Jesse Jones, “personal chef to the stars,” whose clients have included John Legend, Tyler Perry and others; Claude Lewis, the Food Network’s “Chopped” Champion, and owner chef of Jersey City’s newest dining spot, Freetown Road Project; and Anuchit Pukdeedamrongrit, the beloved HCCC CAI chef/professor who is better known as “Chef Puk.”

Attendees will also receive a voucher for a free Culinary Arts Introductory Class, to be taken at a later date.
