Hudson County Community College Receives Awards for Podcasts and Social Media Campaign

College named recipient of national 2019 Collegiate Advertising Awards.

 

May 4, 2020, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County Community College has been recognized with two 2019 Collegiate Advertising Awards.

The College’s Communications Department was notified that the College is receiving a Silver Award in the Webcasts/Podcasts category for “Out of the Box,” the monthly video podcast series hosted by HCCC President Dr. Chris Reber. The Gold Award in this category was presented to the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. The HCCC 2019 podcasts included discussions with students, alumni, instructors and administrators on a variety of topics, including Community College Opportunity Grant; Advanced Manufacturing Degree and Apprenticeship Program; HCCC Fine Arts Program; Foundations Arts Collection; Honor Societies; Alumni; Radiography Program; Cultural Affairs Program; Early College Program; Peer Leaders; Nursing Program; and Hudson Helps Program.

The other Silver Award in the Social Media Marketing category recognized the SnapChat recruitment advertising campaign for the College’s Secaucus location last Fall.

The Collegiate Marketing Awards is an elite program created to honor talented marketing professionals for excellence in all forms of advertising, marketing and promotion specific to higher education products and services. Entries were judged by a panel of design and education professionals for creativity layout/design, production knowledge transfer, and overall quality. The College competed in the 10,001-20,000 students group.
