The annual HCCC Teaching and Learning Symposium on Social Justice in Higher Education features HACU leadership, and HCCC faculty and staff have participated in HACU leadership and fellowship programs for several consecutive years. The College also highlights Hispanic artists in 75 permanent installations of the HCCC Foundation Art Collection.

HCCC earned the 2023 Outstanding HACU-Member Institution Award, and Dr. Reber served as a member of the United States Department of Agriculture-HACU Leadership Group and is currently a member of the HACU Commission on International Education.

“As the CEO of an Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), your insights and leadership will be invaluable in advancing the mission of the Association,” said Dr. John Moder, Interim HACU CEO in a letter appointing Dr. Reber to the Association’s Governing Board. “We greatly value your longstanding commitment to and strong support of HACU’s programs and initiatives.”
