Biography
Belinda serves in Advisement at the North Hudson Campus, providing strategic leadership
for advisement services to ensure a seamless student experience and effective operational
management. She supervises academic counselors and advisement staff and leads the
integration of college-wide retention initiatives aligned with the institution’s strategic
goals.
Belinda leads Advisement Services at the North Hudson Campus. Belinda is an experienced
higher education professional committed to the mission of community colleges and to
advancing student access, equity, and academic excellence. Her work is grounded in
a holistic, student‑centered approach that supports Hudson County Community College’s
mission, vision, and values, with a strong emphasis on advocacy, inclusion, and student
success. Before joining HCCC, Ms. Austin served as Associate Dean of Student Services
at Northampton Community College. Throughout her career, she has supported students
from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds across the full educational journey—from
applicant to graduate—in on‑campus, online, and hybrid learning environments.
