Biography
Katy works in the Office of Institutional Research and Planning, leveraging her expertise in research methods and statistics to support institutional effectiveness and assessment initiatives at the college.
Katy grew up in Jersey City and is a first-generation college graduate of Rutgers University-Newark. She has over a decade of experience in institutional research, assessment, and college teaching. She was a 2024 NISOD Excellence Award recipient and currently serves on the Steering Committee for the New Jersey Association for Institutional Research (NJAIR). Prior to her administrative work in higher education, her academic research examined how children and adults acquire knowledge, reason about causality, and adapt their behavior to avoid health risks. She has taught undergraduate psychology courses in general psychology, child development, animal cognition, and experimental research methods.
