Biography

Jose oversees the Educational Opportunity Fund program. He manages the program's day-to-day operations and manages the work of the EOF academic advisors. He also meets with students, families, and community members to highlight the advantages of attending Hudson County Community College and participating in the EOF program.

Dr. Jose Lowe has worked with educational support programs for the past 26 years. He began his work at New Jersey City University as the first academic advisor in the Student Support Services program. Jose learned to navigate the higher education maze as a first-generation college student with the help of counselors and academic advisors. These experts had a great influence on his role as a counselor and manager. Jose is grateful to his HCCC EOF family for their years of dedicated service. Jose values the EOF stamp on education and the impact that it has on the lives of HCCC students.

Hobbies/Interests: Jose enjoys reading and writing. He also enjoys riding his bicycle.
