Biography
As the Skills Simulation Lab Coordinator for the Hudson County Community College Associate Degree Nursing Program, Eva Racine oversees the daily operations of the Skills and Simulation Laboratory. She manages a team of registered nurses, coordinates staffing and scheduling, oversees the skills laboratory, and ensures the availability of equipment and educational resources to support student learning. She collaborates with nursing faculty to develop, implement, and evaluate simulation-based learning experiences that promote clinical judgment, critical thinking, and safe patient care. She also leads initiatives related to simulation program quality improvement, technology integration, and accreditation readiness in alignment with ACEN, INACSL, and Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) standards. Through her leadership, she helps to prepare future nurses to provide competent, evidence-based, and compassionate patient care.
Eva Racine has been a registered nurse since 2001, building an extensive career in critical care and nursing leadership. Her clinical experience spans a variety of high-acuity settings, where she developed expertise in complex patient assessment, evidence-based practice, and the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Throughout her career, she has progressed from nursing assistant to critical care nurse, unit supervisor, staff educator, and currently serves as the Skills Simulation Lab Coordinator for the Hudson County Community College Associate Degree Nursing Program. In this role, she leads the daily operations of the Skills and Simulation Laboratory, manages a team of registered nurses, oversees staffing, resource allocation, simulation technology, and accreditation initiatives, while ensuring an exceptional educational environment for nursing students and faculty. As a nursing educator and simulation leader, Ms. Racine is dedicated to advancing excellence in nursing education through innovative simulation-based learning. She collaborates with faculty to design and implement realistic clinical experiences that strengthen students' clinical judgment, critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence. Her professional interests include simulation program development, strategic planning, quality improvement, faculty development, and simulation accreditation. She is an active member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and is committed to promoting best practices in simulation while preparing the next generation of nurses to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care.
