Royal Ross

Royal is the Admissions Recruiter at HCCC. She implements student recruitment initiatives, develops short-term and long-term strategic planning initiatives, and coordinates recruitment activities in support of the College's strategic enrollment initiatives. Additionally, Royal is also an adjunct professor for Business and Accounting.

A native of Jersey City, Royal started at HCCC as a student and is now the Admissions Recruiter and an adjunct professor for Business and Accounting. After graduating from HCCC, she went on to earn her bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Saint Peter's University, as well as an MBA from the same university. A lifelong learner, Royal didn't stop there and is in the process of completing her doctorate in Educational Leadership at Rowan University. She hopes that her academic accomplishments will inspire HCCC students to follow in her footsteps. Royal has also worked in banking and tax accounting. An accomplished writer, Royal's first book, She is Pretty Strong, was published in 2022. She also serves as Vice President of HCCC's Alumni Association and on the College's African-American Outreach Committee. Royal is proud to be a longtime member of the HCCC family and she is happy to say that Hudson is truly home.
