Biography
Sony works as a nursing instructor in the RN program teaching OB/Peds.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the nursing profession, Sony Thomas is dedicated to advancing excellence in patient care, nursing education, and student success. Her clinical background began in pediatric nursing and expanded into a variety of healthcare and leadership roles across diverse clinical settings, providing her with a strong foundation in patient-centered care and healthcare delivery. Ms. Thomas holds a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Education from Capella University. In addition to her clinical and educational experience, she served as a Quality Advisor for the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and patient care outcomes. Dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, Ms. Thomas encourages students to develop critical thinking, clinical confidence, and compassionate nursing care practices. She is honored to guide and mentor future healthcare professionals throughout the educational journey.
