Jennifer Valcarcel

Jennifer serves as the Inaugural Director of the Transfer Pathways office, where she leads efforts to streamline transfer processes for students embarking on new educational endeavors. Jennifer oversees a comprehensive range of services, including the establishment of dual admissions and articulation agreements, as well as the coordination of campus events such as transfer fairs, campus tours, and instant decision days. Additionally, Jennifer is actively engaged in teaching a first-year seminar course at HCCC.

A distinguished alumna of the Educational Opportunity Fund Program at New Jersey City University, Jennifer credits much of her academic and leadership development to the invaluable support and resources provided by EOF. As a first-generation student, she deeply understands the transformative influence of community and mentorship on personal growth and achievement. Jennifer's passion lies in empowering students from diverse backgrounds to unlock their full potential. Through her mentorship, she not only equips them with essential academic tools but also imparts invaluable life skills essential for success in both academic and professional realms.
