Biography
Professor Velez teaches classes in ESL Pathway 2, ESL Writing Level II, ESL Grammar for Writing Level II
Professor Velez joined HCCC as an adjunct in 2023 and became a full-time instructor in 2025. She quickly fell in love with the community and values the opportunity to work closely with a diverse student population. She is committed to helping her students find their voice, both on paper and in class. Previously, Professor Velez taught ESL and English in NYC high schools as well as adult continuing education programs. She looks forward to continuing her mission of uplifting immigrant communities.
