The purpose of this Mental Health Counseling and Wellness Policy is to provide Hudson County Community College (“College”) students with access to Mental Health Counseling and Wellness resources and support in a stigma-free environment.
The College and its Board of Trustees (“Board”) are committed to eliminating barriers
to student academic success. They empower the Office of Mental Health Counseling and
Wellness to foster students’ psychological health and well-being in order to further
their academic, personal, and professional goals.
The Board delegates to the President the responsibility to develop procedures and
guidelines for the implementation of this policy. The Center for Academic and Student
Success shall be responsible for implementing the procedures and guidelines developed
for this policy.
