April 24, 2018

April 24, 2018 - Hudson County Community College’s Human Services Club hosted, in conjunction with the Office of Student Activities, a successful toiletry drive. All donations went to assist those in the community in need of help.

On Saturday, April 14 students and staff gathered to create toiletry bags to distribute amongst 4 different locations. The organizations involved were the Hoboken Shelter, Women Rising, Youth from Family Partners, and Perc. Some bags were also held at the HCCC Journal Square Campus for students in need. A total of 300 bags were prepared for disbursement. The Human Services Club and Office of Student Activities appreciate and would like to thank all participants involved and hotels which helped donate supplies needed.

Hudson County Community College recognizes that classroom instruction is vital to your professional and career development. We also know extra-curricular activities — and developing meaningful and rewarding relationships — are just as important to expanding your experiences and preparing you for your life after Hudson.

Our Office of Student Activities (OSA) provides a whole host of activities and events to engage you with other members of the community and to fulfill your cultural and recreational interests and needs. The OSA staff advises the Student Government Association, approximately 30 clubs and organizations, various honor societies, and sponsors and produces the College’s annual Lecture Series, organizes parties and events for members of the community, and coordinates the sales of discounted tickets and trips to Broadway shows, sporting events, museums, theme parks, movie theaters, and many other events and venues.
