Zachary Forrest was recently named Associate Director of Veterans Affairs and International Student Services at Hudson County Community College.
June 10, 2025, Jersey City, NJ – Hudson County Community College (HCCC) recently appointed Zachary Forrest as the College’s Associate Director of Veterans Affairs and International Student Services.
In his new position, Mr. Forrest will support enrollment, engagement, student success, and academic excellence initiatives for veterans and international students; connect the College to community partners to advance institutional goals in improving educational participation and completion; and collaborate with multiple campus constituents to expand and refine support and engagement for students, faculty, staff, and community members.
“The entire HCCC family joins me in welcoming Zachary Forrest to Hudson County Community College,” said HCCC President Dr. Christopher Reber. “He will lead and support our services for veterans and international students, enhancing travel abroad opportunities for students, creating dynamic engagement opportunities for veterans, and increasing student enrollment for both populations.”
Prior to joining HCCC, Mr. Forrest worked as International Admissions Coordinator for Western Carolina University, Office of Global Engagement; and led the University of Technology Sumbawa internship program in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
Mr. Forrest holds a Master of Science degree in Global Studies and International Relations, with a concentration in Global Student Mobility, and Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Political Science, both from Northeastern University. His international education experience includes participation in various study-abroad programs. These include “The Twenty-First Century City: Tokyo and Kyoto” Program hosted by Meiji University, and The NUin Program in London for Northeastern University International Study.
Mr. Forrest’s credentials also include Designated School Official (DSO), Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), and Passport Acceptance Agent, which will be instrumental in his new role at HCCC. He has presented on international education at national conferences, including the 2024 North Carolina Association of International Educators, and the 2023 NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
