ModernThink, a strategic human capital consulting firm, administered the survey and analyzed the results. The recognition is based on a survey of 171 colleges and universities. In all, 76 of those institutions achieved “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies. Results are reported for small, medium, and large institutions, with HCCC included among the medium institutions.
The Great Colleges to Work For® team use a two-part assessment process that includes an institutional questionnaire capturing employment data and workplace policies, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators, and professional support staff. Employee feedback is the primary factor in selecting institutions for recognition.
“We are honored to receive this recognition, which belongs to the entire HCCC community,” said Dr. Lisa Dougherty, HCCC Interim President. “Hudson County Community College is a great college to work for because of the hard work, dedication, caring, and contributions of the entire College community. We are proud to work together in this special place where all are valued and supported.”
